The 100

Introducing Chelsea Marshall

I am pleased to announce we have a new writer to Binge With Me. Please give a big hand to Chelsea Marshall! I’ve hit Chelsea with some questions (very similar to the ones answered by our own Matty and Andrew) so you can get to know a little more about our newest writer.

What do you like most about stories told on television?
Television provides a visual storytelling platform that allows a more in-depth exploration of characters and themes.

What is your favourite show?
This changes depending on whatever I’m binging.

Currently, I would consider CW’s The 100, a top contender. The fifth season is premiering this month which I’m psyched about.

Is there a show you missed the boat on and for whatever reason have not been able to watch it even though you wanted to? Complete hypothetical.
Game of Thrones or Supernatural. I’m a sucker for fantasy, but taking on both these shows at this point is extremely daunting.

Do you have a favourite TV snack?
Hummus and chips.

What’s your favourite season of TV so far this year?
Probably Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Is there a show you are most looking forward to? And is it Westworld?
Season 5 of The 100, I haven’t watched the first season of Westworld yet, but it’s definitely at the top of my list.

What is your longest binge?
Probably comedy shows such as How I Met Your Mother, Full House or Friends.

What else should our readers know about you?
I love a handful of old films but also get really into science fiction, dystopian shows and sitcoms. Typically, I began binging with the Harry Potter films when my friend introduced me to the books. I continued once I got a decent internet connection and haven’t really stopped.

Thanks Chelsea! Right now you can check out Chelsea’s very first review of A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2.

TV has always been a part of Michael’s life, but since the influx of streaming shows now he can’t stop (someone send help). He also dabbles in films and video games, and has a mean board game collection.

Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand. He has previously written about video games for publications including Game Console, Salient, and ButtonMasher.
