Steven Spielberg reads from Amazing Stories

Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories makes a comeback

Steven Spielberg’s 80’s show Amazing Stories, is making a comeback by who else but Apple, who recently entered the TV game with shows like Carpool Karaoke and Planet of the Apps.

Amazing Stories was a sci-fi/fantasy/horror anthology series, each episode with a self-contained story. It’s as good a time as any, as anthology shows make a comeback with the likes of Black Mirror and Phillip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams.

Spielberg came up with the story for many of the episodes and directed only a handful. Attached to this reboot is Bryan Fuller, who created Star Trek: Discovery before leaving to make American Gods, and is serving here as an Executive Producer.

TV has always been a part of Michael’s life, but since the influx of streaming shows now he can’t stop (someone send help). He also dabbles in films and video games, and has a mean board game collection.

Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand. He has previously written about video games for publications including Game Console, Salient, and ButtonMasher.
