The show I wrote about earlier this year (one of the first posts on this site in fact) finally has a trailer. I know what you’re thinking, not another superhero show, but hear me out.
I’m a big fan of Brian K. Vaughan’s comic series Runaways. It’s about a group of teens who find out their parents are villains and discover powers of their own. The Runaways exist within the Marvel universe and drop references to Hulk and The Avengers and the like.
This trailer left me feeling ho-hum and I’m praying to Thor it’s just the way this trailer was cut and it won’t be representative of the show overall; a lot of action and emotionally distressed faces, but not the trademark humour the series was known for. We even get a glimpse of Old Lace, Gerti’s dinosaur. It might blow the CG budget. I just hope they don’t pull an Inhumans and lock up the big teleporting dog after the first episode.

TV has always been a part of Michael’s life, but since the influx of streaming shows now he can’t stop (someone send help). He also dabbles in films and video games, and has a mean board game collection.
Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand. He has previously written about video games for publications including Game Console, Salient, and ButtonMasher.
