Hello world, I am pleased to announce we have brought on another new writer. I would like to welcome aboard Andrew Yeh! I’ve hit Andrew with some questions (the very same answered by our Matty) so you can get to know a little more about our newest writer.
What do you like most about stories told on television?
I like the fact that they are a kind of portal into another world because real life can be boring at times. [Amen to that. TV’s are a real wardrobe to Narnia – Ed.]
What is your favourite show?
The Simpsons because it’s a show I have enjoyed ever since I was a child. [A friend of mine wasn’t allowed to watch The Simpsons as a kid because of its “adult” nature. But because it was on every day eventually they just gave up and let him watch it. – Ed.]
Is there a show you missed the boat on and for whatever reason have not been able to watch it even though you wanted to? Complete hypothetical.
I have heard that Breaking Bad is an excellent show but I haven’t had the chance watch the entire series. [It’s pretty good – Ed.]
Do you have a favourite TV snack?
I like having a packet of corn chips near me when I am watching TV. [I’m hoping with a side of salsa and guac – Ed.]
What’s your favourite season of TV so far this year?
So far this year, my favourite season is The Flash. It became my favourite when [spoilers redacted – Ed.] because it demonstrated the present-day Barry’s potential, especially because the show is an origins story describing how the Flash became the fastest man alive. It’s like how Smallville, which was one of my favourite shows, is about how Clarke became Superman.
Is there a show you are most looking forward to in this later half of the year? And is it Game of Thrones?
Game of Thrones is one of the shows I am looking forward to watching again. I think Young Sheldon might be good as well. [Young Sheldon is an upcoming prequel to The Big Bang Theory premiering September 25th, 2017 – Ed.]
What is your longest binge?
I think my longest binge was 8 hours long. [That’s still shorter than watching The Lord of The Rings trilogy back to back – Ed.]
What else should our readers know about you?
I watch a lot of movies. [Ahh movies, what I like to call shorter TV shows – Ed.]
Thanks Andrew! I hope you didn’t mind my gratuitous use of editors’ notes. I promise I will only use these editor’s powers for good. [He didn’t – Ed.]

TV has always been a part of Michael’s life, but since the influx of streaming shows now he can’t stop (someone send help). He also dabbles in films and video games, and has a mean board game collection.
Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand. He has previously written about video games for publications including Game Console, Salient, and ButtonMasher.
