Elisabeth Moss in Top of The Lake

Binge watch at the cinema with Top of the Lake

Ready for a new type of binge? Sure, there’s movie marathons, but this is something different. Following Cannes, The New Zealand International Film Festival (NZIFF) is hosting a premiere of Jane Campion’s mini-series Top of the Lake: China Girl, all 410 minutes of it.

Now you might not want to trade your couch for a cinema seat, but how often do you get to watch a television show on the big screen? Not very often that’s what. And hey, there’s even an intermission or two.

If you’re in Wellington or Auckland add this to your NZIFF Wishlist. NZIFF tickets are $45 and go on sale June 19th in Auckland, and July 6th in Wellington.

Top of the Lake: China Girl screens July 30th, 2017 at ASB Waterfront Theatre, Auckland, and July 29th, 2017 at Embassy Theatre, Wellington.

TV has always been a part of Michael’s life, but since the influx of streaming shows now he can’t stop (someone send help). He also dabbles in films and video games, and has a mean board game collection.
