Seth MacFarlane is starring in a new Fox sitcom The Orville. A trailer has dropped showing a crew of various species on board the spaceship U.S.S Orville with MacFarlane as the captain. I don’t know how he does it what with Family Guy and American Dad still on the air.
Make no bones about it, The Orville is a Star Trek parody through and through. Let’s just hope it’s as good as Galaxy Quest. God knows, the name isn’t.
It’s an interesting time in TV land. Star Trek: Discovery is still coming to CBS whenever that’s supposed to shape up in the wake of ex-showrunner Bryan Fuller, and likely to be on air around the same time as The Orville.
The Orville is coming to Fox in September 2017.
TV has always been a part of Michael’s life, but since the influx of streaming shows now he can’t stop (someone send help). He also dabbles in films and video games, and has a mean board game collection.
