Arrested Development is back for another season

The Bluth family are reuniting in another season of Fox-turned-Netflix sitcom Arrested Development.

When Arrested Development came back to Netflix in 2013, Season Four caused mixed reactions. A common complaint was that the characters were separated. This was a problem with the cast’s different schedules, which meant each episode was focussed on only one or two of the Bluths. From this tweet and image below it appears they have taken that feedback on board and all these brilliant actors may actually be in the same room together this time.

In an interview with Esquire last year, creator Mitchell Hurwitz talked about re-cutting the fourth season to air on network television (an unusual move for a Netflix show), to be more like traditional seasons, with a shorter running length, turning 15 episodes into 22, as well as new narration and some additional shooting. No word yet on when/if this will come, and if it will also be released on Netflix.

TV has always been a part of Michael’s life, but since the influx of streaming shows now he can’t stop (someone send help). He also dabbles in films and video games, and has a mean board game collection.

Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand. He has previously written about video games for publications including Game Console, Salient, and ButtonMasher.
