While we at Binge With Me don’t have a podcast (yet), there’s a number of podcasts on the big ol’ net that talk all things TV. Below are five of my favourites. They’re the writers who inspired me to start this here website. If you don’t know how to download a podcast to your phone, it’s really easy.
So pop in those earbuds and binge some television commentary. Let TV dominate your every waking moment, play them while you’re asleep, or y’know just when you’re doing the chores. I won’t tell you how to live your life.
1. Gen Pop
This is David Chen (/Film) and Joanna Robinson’s (Vanity Fair) latest edition of a podcast where they expand upon just TV and talk about specific things in pop culture (so films & TV mostly!).
After their initial discussion they talk with special guest creators/other critics about the pop culture topic. Shows they’ve talked about so far include 24: Legacy with Matt Zoller Seitz, and One Day at a Time with Stephen Tobolowsky.

2. A Cast of Kings / The Ones Who Knock / Holler Back / Decoding Westworld
Before Gen Pop, David Chen & Joanna Robinson hosted a myriad of podcasts where they covered a number of shows, recapping each episode as they aired. They offered their thoughts on each and predicted what might happen next. When you can’t binge a show, these pods are the perfect companions to keep you occupied for the week before that next big episode.
A Cast of Kings was my first entry into their world, and it provided the perfect experience for Game Of Thrones, where Joanna had read all the books and David hadn’t. It was spoiler-phobe friendly.

3. A Storm of Spoilers
It started out as a Game of Thrones podcast for folks who had read the books. Which wasn’t me, so I only jumped on board when they went on their off-season tour, exploring popular culture in TV & films. Recently they covered Legion, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and The OA.
Hosted by Joanna Robinson (yes, again, where does she find the time!), Neil Miller (Film School Rejects), and Dave Gonzales (Thrillist).

4. Talking TV With Ryan and Ryan
One of my first podcasts. Talking TV pits critics Maureen “Mo” Ryan (Variety) with Ryan McGee (Rolling Stone), and they talk about new shows, as well as spoiler discussions on seasons as a whole. The thing I love about their casts is that the shows are clearly time-coded so you can jump to shows you want to hear about, or skip the spoiler-filled discussions.

5. TV Avalanche
This podcast is new. Alan Sepinwall (Uproxx), is not new. You may have even heard of him. He’s written a bunch of books including The Revolution Was Televised and his latest, a collaboration on TV (The Book).
He used to do a pod with Dan Fineberg (The Hollywood Reporter) called Firewall & Iceberg. This latest collaboration is with another Uproxx writer, Brian Grubb.

TV has always been a part of Michael’s life, but since the influx of streaming shows now he can’t stop (someone send help). He also dabbles in films and video games, and has a mean board game collection.
Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand. He has previously written about video games for publications including Game Console, Salient, and ButtonMasher.
